Sports Performance Training

Steve offers comprehensive performance solutions through use of advanced neurological activation exercises that are designed to optimize performance by improving the function and integration of the athlete’s visual, vestibular, movement and sensory systems. Ultimately, all athletic change represents changes in the athlete’s nervous system. 

Steve employs the Z-Health 9S Athletic Development Model as a foundation and core to his performance training with athletes. This system is based on the concept that the end result of all training is a reflection on whether or not we have improved brain function. Everything you experience in your body from pain to high-performance is a direct result of how your brain is functioning. In the 9S Model the athlete’s brain sits at the center of all of our physical and mental attributes.

Steve puts the athlete and his or her nervous system at the center of their training. His goal as your coach is to assess and determine on a day-to-day (and even moment-to-moment) basis which of these 9 specific attributes you need in order to improve brain function. Every single one of them is immensely important to athleticism and not addressing any one of these may be what is preventing you from ever reaching your full potential.
