About Steve Madama

Neuro Performance Specialist

Steve has 25+ years of professional work experience in performance training, injury prevention, injury rehabilitation and pain relief. He specializes in cutting edge neurophysiology assessment and application techniques for improving all types of performance goals. Steve has extensive training in functional neurology and holds his Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Nutrition Science.

Steve’s goal is to help 100% of the people and athletes who walk through his door. In order to accomplish this, he takes a comprehensive and individualized approach to training and is passionate and dedicated to continual education in the latest advances in science.  By integrating and applying the sciences of neurophysiology, biomechanics, anatomy and motor learning, Steve develops customized programs for his clients that are designed to meet their goals in the shortest amount of time.

Steve’s interest and curiosity for the vast potential of human performance began at age 7 when he was introduced to the martial arts. Along with his deep martial arts practice, he has trained and competed in numerous other sports, and has a passion for teaching and learning all things athletic. And like many others with an extensive athletic background, he has experienced injuries in their many forms.

Steve has overcome several sport and life injuries both mild and severe. Additionally, he has also sustained multiple concussions of varying degrees which he has successfully rehabilitated himself from. His life experiences with athletics and injury has fueled him to dig deeper into the science of human performance in all its dimensions. More specifically, his deep-seated passion for utilizing neuroscience applications in human performance comes from both his personal experiences with head trauma (TBI/concussions) and the education and skills that were necessary to fully recover.

Today, Steve works tirelessly with a highly diverse clientele base ranging from stroke rehabilitation to performance training and injury rehabilitation of world class athletes. This allows him great insight into how to utilize emerging neuroscience techniques and adapt their applications to meet the individual needs of his clients. Steve offers comprehensive solutions through use of advanced neurological activation exercises that are designed to optimize performance by improving the function and integration of the athlete’s visual, vestibular, movement and sensory systems. Ultimately though, at the core of all of Steve’s work is an innate desire to educate his clients and help them realize the power they have to change.
